RunCam 3 Full HD camera for drones

RunCam 3 small form factor camera with 1080p@60fps video recording

Following the success of the RC2, RunCam announced a new FPV camera with 1080@60fps video recording and completely new design. The RunCam 3 comes with a cubic form factor, similar to the GoPro Session.

Its small size and AV-out makes the RC3 an excellent FPV camera for racing drones. The silicon mount and frontal lens panel will protects the camera during crashes.

Although the RunCam3 camera does not have any display, it can be easily configured though your mobile phone.

According to the specs, the 960mAh battery allows about 60 minutes of full HD video recording (with 60 frames per second). Surley more than you need for a FPV session. Anyway, you can feed the camera also from an external power source.

  1. Is this camera actually good to use as the primary camera? so instead of a runcam owl or similiar? (Other brands are available) Or is it meant/only good for the fotage you want to take of stuff, if you know what I mean? (Sorry total noob)

    1. It is perfect to record your footage also for FPV flights, but due its latency it is not suitable for exclusive FPV flights (with fpv glasses). For FPV racing drones you need a fast analog camera (TVL) like the Swift or OWL
