Hawkeye Firefly 6s 4K UHD action camera

After the promising Firefly 5s camera, another Hawkeye model was announced. Keeping the same simplistic design of the previous model, the Firefly 6s comes with many professional features.

This Hawkeye Firefly 6s camera offers gyro images stabilization and fish eye reduction function. Biggest improvement of this new model is regarding the video resolution. The Hawkeye Firefly 6s is capable to record 4K videos with 24fps. For slow motion videos, the camera is also capable for high frame rate (120fps at 720P) .

The power source of this camera is a 1600mAh GoPro 3/3+ compatible battery that allows about 90 minutes of continuous operation time.

This Firefly 6s camera has four buttons and a small status LCD for easy and intuitive usage.

  • Power ON/OFF – press once for power ON or long press 3 sec. to turn OFF (when the camera is ON use it to switch between photo and video mode);

  1. Please someone can explain how it actually work that “gyro stabilization”
I want to order this FIREFLY 6S cam, but only if truly offers better quality than the previous model.

  2. Just got this camera from Banggood, the quality is pretty good, but the package not include the AV-Out cable. Any suggestion where can I found a compatible one?

  3. Just got mine, I’m planning to use it together with my Phantom 2 quadcopter. I’m very curious about the 4K video resolution 🙂
Carefully, the package does not include the FPV cable!

  4. Compared to the GoPro 3 which one is better for aerial filming?
BTW, it works with any 5.8GHz, I want to use it on my Phantom 2…

  5. There are differences between the Hawkeye Firefly 6C and 6S???
It seems to be an upgraded model? Do you know if will have better image quality??

  6. I’m looking at getting an action cam for my dog business and looking at good quality image with video and guessing that image stabilization will be important if attached to a dog.
Do you have any recommendations? I am currently looking at the Firefly 6s as potentially the best option for price.

  7. WARNING: Don’t purchase this camera.
False advertising by manufacturer (not the blogger’s fault) and data manipulation everywhere. The image sensors has 12mp instead of 16mp
BTW, “not true” 4k video… lots of lies….

  8. If you update Firefly 6s firmware it is 4k resolution, not with the 2.0 to 2.2 firmware, fixed with 2.3 on. I have GoPro Hero 3 and some things I prefer GoPro and others the FireFly 6s. It all depends on lighting. They produce different angles, field of views and capture gradients.
